By some miracle the kids did not get up before 6, instead they got up at 6:15. Paul and I had hid eggs around the downstairs and down they went to scoop them up. Nothing to exciting. I used a very minimal amount of candy because I didn't want them to be wild and crazy for the day. They also got a pack of "Club Penguin" trading cards. It's their new thing. It's a Disney internet game that surprisingly even my 3 year can play.
Here is nice morning shot of everyone looking a little sleepy. I did make a good healthy breakfast but not before the kids managed to eat several pieces of candy.
Later that night we had our friends, the Allreds, over for dinner. We unfortunately did not have the traditional Easter dinner of Ham. Instead I just grilled some burgers and we had a nice BBQ. It was fun to break up the monotony of the day. I love listening to General Conference, don't get me wrong, but being trapped in the house for 2 days makes the kids a little crazy. Still love them though!
How fun! I'm glad you guys had a good Easter and were able to celebrate it with friends too! Conference was great but yes, it was tough to keep the kids occupied and quiet during those hours.
ReplyDeleteAnd Joel is sooo big! What happened to the time? It's crazy!
Love you! Glad to see everyone's doing well!
Cute pictures! I couldn't help but think how relieved all the Primary workers probably were to have Easter on Conference Sunday, for a change! :-D
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really on the ball getting these up so fast! Sounds like you guys had a great Easter.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Cluff family!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't go see family for Easter weekend either. It was nice not to travel and we did our own little Easter hunt too. Glad you had a fun Easter!
ReplyDeleteYour family is getting so big, The girls especially, I have memories of them both hanging on the push bar doors at the church at the same time, swinging back and forth just enjoying themselves. Looks like Disney World was a lot of fun for you two, how nice to have some time alone. It was good to catch up with your sweet family.
