Easter 2010

I can't believe I am actually posting this on the same day as the pictures were taken! Anyway on Saturday night we had all the kids put their Easter Baskets out. They were so excited and hyped out of their minds. We had to remind them on several occasions not to get out of bed on Sunday before 6am.

This was Jessica's idea - to put their baskets on their heads. Clearly Lacey was not thrilled.

By some miracle the kids did not get up before 6, instead they got up at 6:15. Paul and I had hid eggs around the downstairs and down they went to scoop them up. Nothing to exciting. I used a very minimal amount of candy because I didn't want them to be wild and crazy for the day. They also got a pack of "Club Penguin" trading cards. It's their new thing. It's a Disney internet game that surprisingly even my 3 year can play.

Joel was not to fast at picking up his eggs because he wanted to bust open his cards.

Here is nice morning shot of everyone looking a little sleepy. I did make a good healthy breakfast but not before the kids managed to eat several pieces of candy.

Later that night we had our friends, the Allreds, over for dinner. We unfortunately did not have the traditional Easter dinner of Ham. Instead I just grilled some burgers and we had a nice BBQ. It was fun to break up the monotony of the day. I love listening to General Conference, don't get me wrong, but being trapped in the house for 2 days makes the kids a little crazy. Still love them though!
